Thoughts: This book picks up where the last left off therefore I do recommend reading #1 first. Also theres a lot that goes unexplained if you haven't read the previous book.

After their father dies, the surviving family members (especially the mother and daughter) are still dealing with his death. Tyler, the oldest boy, has made a suspicious new friend, and the youngest boy is once again wondering around with a key and a curious mind, starting up the horror/drama to come.

I loved the realistic way of the Kinsey dealing with emotions, specifically her fear and hurt and just being sick and tired of feeling it all. Very relatable stuff to me right now.
I also enjoyed the fact that the uncles relationship with another man wasn't supposed to be show-stopping and wasn't made a big deal out of. They had to deal with some homophobia and it was perceived as wrong and dealt with. I didn't expect a novel like this to go there.
No longer dealing with the well house and instead the horror being focused on the "head games" was awesome.

3 stars because it wasn't as shocking or scary as the first novel, but not only 2 stars because there are plenty of nice surprises and kept me reading.
