We fear it, yet most of us fear more than anything that it may take someone other than ourselves. For the greatest fear of death is always that it will pass us by. And leave us there alone."

Laughed, cried, held my breath, and all the above at the exact same time somehow! I really enjoyed this book. Although it took me a year to finish (I kept moving on to other books, dreading an ending I didn't want...) I'm so glad I finally did finish it.
Ove reminds me of the grandfather I never had and of the father I do have, especially the older he gets.
The ending made me cry tears of happiness and sadness. The entire book made me laugh. A really enjoyable read.
